2020 Certified Playground Safety Inspector Blended Learning Course and Exam

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, 200,000 children are treated annually for playground accidents. Of these, 70%, or 140,000 occurred at public parks and schoolyards.

Sponsored by the National Recreation and Playground Association and Ohio Parks and Recreation Association, this CPSI course is the most comprehensive training program on playground hazard identification and risk management methods offered.  Advanced reading and 12 hours of training will prepare you for the Certified Playground Safety Inspector Exam scheduled at the culmination of this certification course.

Requirements
Candidates sitting for the CPSI certification examination must be 18 years or older and have a high school degree or equivalent.

Course and Virtual Learning
Each participant will receive the course manual and instructions on how to access the interactive online learning course.  Registrants must complete the 12 hour online training at least 24 hours before the virtual training.  Each participant will be scheduled to take part in 4 hours of live virtual training on one of the following dates:  September 9, 10, 11, or 12 from 8:00am – 12:00pm EST.

Testing
Candidates will be uploaded into the professional testing vendor site the week of the virtual training with the instructor and will receive a confirmation email to schedule their exam by NRPA.  Candidates will schedule their own exam at the professional testing site within 90 days of receiving the confirmation from NRPA.
