Replacement Levies

Legislation was introduced in the Ohio House yesterday which would eliminate replacement levies for all political subdivisions in Ohio.

The legislation, House Bill 28, is sponsored by Representatives Adam Mathews and Thomas Hall and co-sponsored by Representatives Levi Dean, Tex Fischer, Jennifer Gross, Marilyn John, Mark Johnson, Angela N. This reintroduction is not a surprise. After defeating this effort, last year, we anticipated that we would see a bill like this early in the session and have had continuing conversations with allies in the House and Senate on this issue.
