The City of Broadview Heights is looking for a full time Aquatics Supervisor to join our great team in our state of the art facility! In this job you would assist the Aquatics Manager with planning, implementing and evaluating programs, trainings, services, and staff for the aquatics facilities (natatorium and splash park) and concessions operations. You would oversee the daily operations when the Aquatics Manager is away, perform administrative and customer service duties, handle pool maintenance responsibilities and Lifeguarding/Water Instruction duties as needed. Your duties would include scheduling and supervising aquatics and concessions staff, assisting with staff skills trainings and evaluations, and updating the Aquatics website.
This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required, with at least some related college coursework preferred.
- At least 2 years? experience with Aquatics management, with at least 6 months? experience as Head Lifeguard or similar position.
- Excellent customer service and communications skills, strong computer skills (Word, Excel, recreation and scheduling software), and familiarity with Aquatics programming, management, and maintenance including pool chemistry and filtration.
- Current certification in CPR/AED, Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instruction.
- Current certification as a Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator, or ability to obtain.
