Empowering, engaging, and encouraging women leaders in parks and recreation, the OPRA Women in Leadership event features dynamic speakers, meaningful discussions, and ample networking time for leaders from around Ohio.  This one-day event will provide advanced tools, tips, and motivation for female leaders who seek to continue making a lasting impact in their communities.

Speaker Information

Dr. Wendy LeBorgne is a renowned voice pathologist, international speaker, bestselling author, and distinguished executive communication coach.  With over two decades of experience, she stands as a leading figure in voice, communication, and the training of vocal athletes, blending the artistic and scientific aspects of voice in order to influence and impact others profoundly.  An accomplished author, Wendy has contributed over 10 text book chapters and 20 articles on voice, alongside delivering more than 200 lectures worldwide.  She is the co-author of the text, The Vocal Athlete.  Wendy will present on the topic "The Voice of Women: Mars & Venus in the Boardroom" and will facilitate a group discussion.

 

Rachel DesRochers is a mother, a dreamer, a serial entrepreneur, and the founder of Power to Pursue.  Gratitude and community are at the heart of everything she does -- and she does a lot.  In addition to founding Power to Pursue, Rachel is the creator behind Grateful Grahams, the Incubator Kitchen Collective, Good n' Local, and Gratitude Grams, all of which make up The Gratitude Collective.  She is also an advisor for the Queen City Game Changers, an executive leadership program for women.  Rachel will present on the topic "The Power of AND: Building Business, Community, and Life of Purpose" and will lead the group in a discussion.


 

Born and raised on the west side of Cincinnati, Commissioner Denise Driehaus is a lifelong resident of Hamilton County.  She is honored to serve her hometown on the Board of County Commissioners.  Prior to her service as a Commissioner, Denise served four terms int he Ohio House of Representatives.  As a Commissioner, she sponsored legislation in 2017 to establish the Commission on Women and Girls to advice the Board of County Commissioners and local government jurisdictions to eliminate any distinction, exclusion, or restriction made on the basis of sex.  She will present on the topic of "Making an Impact in the Public Sector."
