2025 OPRA Awards of Excellence Virtual Judging

Judging for the 2025 OPRA Awards of Excellence will take place on November 6th at 10:00am virtually. 

Judging Process
The Awards Co-Chairs and OPRA Staff will assign 5 judges to score each category.  Judges will not be assigned to any category in which their agency has a submission or a known conflict of interest.  The Co-Chairs and Staff try to assign judges from different regions and different agency types to each category,.

After all the scores are finalized, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places are awarded to the submissions with the highest average score in each category.  All 1st place winners are then submitted to be judged by State leaders for the Governor's Award.


Judging Requirements (No Exceptions)

1 - Judges must have an active OPRA membership.  Registration deadline is October 31st.

2 - Judges must attend the Virtual meeting at 10:00am on November 6th.

3 - Judges must be able to devote at least 4 hours to judging their category/categories.  Judging may take more or less time depending on the number of submissions in the assigned category/categories.

4 - Judges must turn in their scores by 4pm on November 6th.
